Jose Barrios

Clinician

Jose Barrios is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Drug and Alcohol Counselor. Jose received his Bachelor of Social Work from Rutgers University and his Master of Social Work from New York University. Jose has worked in all levels of care in the substance abuse field which include detox, residential, intensive outpatient and outpatient services.

Jose is experienced with all age groups and has extensive knowledge regarding work as an Intensive In-Community clinician. Jose’s skills include working with individuals struggling with mental health disorders. He uses clinical modalities and approaches tailored to the individual which include, but are not limited to, REBT, CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, mindfulness, TF-CBT, chair work and recreational therapy, 12-step approach, and SMART Recovery.
