Lara Zucker

Lara Zucker received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Rowan College of New Jersey and a Master of Arts in experimental psychology from Long Island University, CW Post Campus. She has worked in the field of mental health for over 20 years providing services to children, adults, and families. She is a certified trainer of Mental Health First Aid as well as Non-Violent Crisis Intervention. She has served on the board of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Greater Bergen since 2015 and as its president since 2020.

Lara is an advocate for mental health, promoting the rights of persons with mental health disorders while aiming to de-stigmatize mental illnesses. She takes a collaborative approach while working with youths, ensuring that services are youth centered and family driven. She has experience working with children and adolescents diagnosed with ADHD, ODD, ASD, separation anxiety and other anxiety disorders.
