Leslie Barrios

Leslie received her Bachelor’s Degree from William Paterson University and Master’s Degree from Widener University. She has over 5 years of working with various populations such as: children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. She has worked as a teacher for several years, assisted with the homeless population at the Bergen County Housing, Health & Human Services Center, and is currently providing case management to stabilize children and families.

Her qualifications include being certified in Crisis Intervention Training (CIT), and Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) for youth and adults. Leslie utilizes a multi-modality therapy approach that includes strengths from crisis intervention, psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, and art therapy. Some of Leslie’s strengths in the mental health field involve risk assessment, treatment planning, discharge planning, and assisting with referrals for specialized populations. Leslie’s mission is to continue to support youth and families as they thrive in their communities.
