Nicole (Nikki) Chiarello

Nicole (Nikki) Chiarello received her Master’s degree from Fordham University in Counseling in Education. She has been working with children and families for over 30 years. She began her career as the Child Specialist for Hudson County through the Psychiatric Emergency Screening Service at Jersey City Medical Center. Nicole has experience as a screener, working at St. Mary’s Hospital (now Hoboken University Hospital) for the CCIS unit where she evaluated children for in-patient admission. Nicole supervised a Psychiatric Residence for adolescents for 20 years, working closely with children and families for safe and stable reunification. Nikki is a certified trainer in Mental Health First Aid, Youth Mental Health First Aid, teen Mental Health First Aid and the Nurtured Heart Approach.

She presently sits on the Bergen County CIACC and is a member of the Education Committee. Nicole is a member of various Stigma Free initiatives and committees throughout Bergen County. She takes a youth centered approach and works collaboratively with families and other members of the team, understanding that each team member is an important part of a Youth’s success.
