Jose Barrios is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Drug and Alcohol Counselor. Jose received his Bachelor of Social Work from Rutgers University and his Master of Social Work from New York University. Jose has worked in all levels of care in the substance abuse field which include detox, residential, intensive outpatient and outpatient services.

Jose is experienced with all age groups and has extensive knowledge regarding work as an Intensive In-Community clinician. Jose’s skills include working with individuals struggling with mental health disorders. He uses clinical modalities and approaches tailored to the individual which include, but are not limited to, REBT, CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, mindfulness, TF-CBT, chair work and recreational therapy, 12-step approach, and SMART Recovery.

Diane Barrios

Medical Billing Specialist

Diane Barrios is the medical billing specialist for B-Line Counseling, LLC. Diane has 23 years of medical billing experience. She spent 15 years as a medical biller at a physical medicine and rehabilitation center. Currently, Diane is a billing analyst for the biggest hospital in New Jersey. Diane also holds a certificate in medical billing and coding.

​Ashley Barrios

Clinician

Ashley received her Bachelor of Social Work from Ramapo College and her Masters of Social Work from Rutgers University. Previously, Ashley worked as a children’s development coach and assisted young children in developing physically, cognitively, and emotionally. She has experience providing individual and group counseling to youth with autism and other developmental disabilities. While obtaining her masters, she worked as a Registered Behavior Technician providing ABA services to teenagers with autism. Ashley utilizes a multilevel therapeutic approach that includes strengths-based, play therapy, ABA, and psychotherapy. Ashley’s main goal is to always put her clients’ needs first and work together to enhance their emotional and mental well-being.

Leslie Barrios

Clinician

Leslie received her Bachelor’s Degree from William Paterson University and Master’s Degree from Widener University. She has over 5 years of working with various populations such as: children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. She has worked as a teacher for several years, assisted with the homeless population at the Bergen County Housing, Health & Human Services Center, and is currently providing case management to stabilize children and families. Her qualifications include being certified in Crisis Intervention Training (CIT), and Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) for youth and adults. Leslie utilizes a multi-modality therapy approach that includes strengths from crisis intervention, psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, and art therapy. Some of Leslie’s strengths in the mental health field involve risk assessment, treatment planning, discharge planning, and assisting with referrals for specialized populations. Leslie’s mission is to continue to support youth and families as they thrive in their communities.

​Elizabeth Lopez, MLSW

Elizabeth has received her bachelor’s and master’s Degree from Rutgers State University, school of social work. Elizabeth also has a certificate in Human services management from Rutgers University. She has over 6 years of working with various populations such as: children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. Elizabeth likes to use different therapeutic approaches that includes: play therapy, art therapy, sand therapy, psychotherapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

Some of Elizabeth’s strengths in the mental health field are risk assessment, treatment planning, discharge planning. As an individual, Elizabeth is known for her patience, kindness, compassion, and sense of compromise. Elizabeth’s goal has been and continues to be to support individuals and families thrive in life and their communities.

Jerome Scaturro is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor in the state of New Jersey who has 8 year’s experience with adults, couples, teenagers (15 to 19) seeking help with addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, men’s and women’s issues as well as relationship issues. He completed his Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and currently working towards his Doctorate in Professional Counseling.

Jerome Utilizes Identifiable, collaborative, compassion and empathy based, cognitive behavioral, mindfulness based, solution focused approaches to therapy continually searching and seeking for the individual awareness of the issues to best address the needs for each individual and couple to grow and ultimately heal.

​Vivian Arroyo

Vivian Arroyo MSW, LSW, ICADC, LCADC, DRCC, CCTP, CAMS-I, DSW-Candidate has been in the substance use and mental health field for over 15 years. My undergrad is in psychology and received my master’s in social work with a Clinical concentration in 2016 at Fordham University. I hold a New Jersey Disaster Response Crisis Counselor certification, Certified Anger Management Specialist, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Certified DBT, and am currently working on certification through Beck Institute.

At the beginning of my career, I started as a Family Support Worker at Catholic Charities with DCF serving the foster and adoption program. The passion of serving the community has developed in exploring other opportunities. Later, I took the opportunity to work as a Substance use and Mental health Assessor for NCADD through the board of social service for more than three counties. I trained closely with Dr. Mee-Lee the Chief Editor of The ASAM Criteria. I served as a President for Lake Street Association to assist with advocating and strategizing for the community against the crime and violence on Lake Street.

Throughout my career, I provided support with developing substance use and mental health programs in Union and Middlesex County. Addition, I wrote policies, restructure groups, facilitated groups designed for drug court, facilitated MICA Groups (The Mentally Ill Chemical Abuse) using WRAP (Wellness for Recovery Action Plan), IMR (Illness Management and Recovery), using Art Therapy, Social Skills groups and more. I took the opportunity to structure Union County IDRC as the Director during the Pandemic. While taking the lead as the Director I moved on to taking on a director position at Prevention Links to continue to develop and structure their NU-DAY program funded by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. In between my career, I served as a Intensive in Community Therapist. Connecting families with services in the community using the wrap around service. The expansion of my career I continue to service the community and maintained a relationship with partners in the community.

​Sandy Llerena

I have been working in the Behavioral Health field for the past 2 years. I am currently working as a Behavioral Assistant with B-Line Counseling since May of 2023. I have experience in the mobile response stabilization program and serve the greater Northern New Jersey area. I work closely with at risk youth and their families in addressing behavioral needs, supporting emotional and social needs. As a behavioral assistance I implement behavioral improvement plans that best fit both the youth and their families to help stabilization and growth.

​Lara Zucker

Behavioral Assistant

Lara Zucker received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Rowan College of New Jersey and a Master of Arts in experimental psychology from Long Island University, CW Post Campus. She has worked in the field of mental health for over 20 years providing services to children, adults, and families. She is a certified trainer of Mental Health First Aid as well as Non-Violent Crisis Intervention. She has served on the board of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Greater Bergen since 2015 and as its president since 2020.

Lara is an advocate for mental health, promoting the rights of persons with mental health disorders while aiming to de-stigmatize mental illnesses. She takes a collaborative approach while working with youths, ensuring that services are youth centered and family driven. She has experience working with children and adolescents diagnosed with ADHD, ODD, ASD, separation anxiety and other anxiety disorders.

Nicole (Nikki) Chiarello

Behavioral Assistant

Nicole (Nikki) Chiarello received her Master’s degree from Fordham University in Counseling in Education. She has been working with children and families for over 30 years. She began her career as the Child Specialist for Hudson County through the Psychiatric Emergency Screening Service at Jersey City Medical Center. Nicole has experience as a screener, working at St. Mary’s Hospital (now Hoboken University Hospital) for the CCIS unit where she evaluated children for in-patient admission. Nicole supervised a Psychiatric Residence for adolescents for 20 years, working closely with children and families for safe and stable reunification. Nikki is a certified trainer in Mental Health First Aid, Youth Mental Health First Aid, teen Mental Health First Aid and the Nurtured Heart Approach.

She presently sits on the Bergen County CIACC and is a member of the Education Committee. Nicole is a member of various Stigma Free initiatives and committees throughout Bergen County. She takes a youth centered approach and works collaboratively with families and other members of the team, understanding that each team member is an important part of a Youth’s success.

Molly Sheil

Molly is a Licensed Social Worker who received her Bachelors & Masters in Social Work at Monmouth University. She has experience providing counseling services to children, adolescents, teenagers, and families in agency and home settings. Molly has developed and facilitated group counseling services to LGBTQ+ individuals and recognizes the importance of working with a trauma focused lens. Molly aims to empower individuals and create space for growth, healing, and hope.

Maria Crisostomo

Clinician

Maria Crisostomo LAC, M.A, Graduated Mental Health/Counseling from Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis (BGSP)/ Academy of Clinical and Applied Psychoanalysis (ACAP), and received my Bachelor of Art in Psychology from Rutgers State University.

During my training, I participated in SafetyNet. This was a program created during the pandemic used to help those in need of mental health support. I also volunteered for iStrive. In this program I assisted adults with autism spectrum disorder. My responsibilities include interacting with the adults and assisting them in communicating with other members. My participation in both programs has given me an amazing amount of experience and personal fulfillment.
In the past 8 years I have worked with children with special needs. Their needs included social, emotional, and physical support in assisting them to become a part of an inclusive classroom. Social emotional needs and mental health are more important now than ever before. Using my knowledge and experience in mental health with adults and children in my current job as an Intensive-in-Community Therapist, where I am constantly working with youths and families adapting to their needs. Offering them a trustful relationship to help them to become healthier mentally to be their better version.

Christian Mejia

Christian Mejia is a Certified Social Worker, who obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Public Administration from Rutgers University. Christian brings more than seven years of experience gained at different organizations in Hudson County including Save Latin America, the Hoboken Shelter, Hudson Partnership C.M.O., and The Palisades Family Success Center, and most recently as Site Director for the Bayway Family Success Center in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Christian is passionate about advocating for his community, partnering with different organizations, and recruiting volunteers within the community. Christian is excited to continue to build and strengthen relationships with organizations in the community in order to connect families to resources while identifying volunteer opportunities. Christian is an avid Mountain Bike rider during the weekends. He enjoys riding through different trails all over New Jersey!
